Peter Bonfante is a partner and founder of Bonfante Steinbeck Dentino.  Peter’s practice focuses primarily on intellectual property and corporate transactions, as well as actively serving many of our clients as outside general counsel.  Peter successfully represents clients in complex IP licensing, acquisition and disposition, and development and joint venture arrangements. Peter’s practice includes matters arising from the perfection, protection, and maintenance of IP rights, both in the U.S. and internationally. Peter’s clients include IP and technology focused companies and entrepreneurs competing in the entertainment, fashion and apparel, software development and social media sectors.

Advising clients in the role of outside general counsel, Peter provides broad legal support and guidance to emerging companies managing limited resources in the face of their rapid expansion. Peter counsels clients through a wide range of issues and corporate transactions from formation through multi-round venture capital investments.

Peter also practices intellectual property and commercial litigation, providing cost-effective and aggressive litigation options for Bonfante Steinbeck Dentino’s clients.

Peter earned his law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles where he served as the Chief Note & Comment Editor for the International and Comparative Law Review.  Peter began his legal career at Coudert Brothers and later joined Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker where he counseled several Fortune 500 companies.
