Bill Dentino is a partner of Bonfante Steinbeck Dentino with a practice focusing on corporate transactions, business taxation, and securities matters. Bill’s practice centers on representing emerging companies throughout their lifecycle, from start-up to acquisition or through and after an IPO. He frequently counsels clients on the securities regulatory environment as they plan private offerings, compensate employees and executives, and secure venture capital investment.
Bill’s tax practice encompasses all areas of business taxation, with emphasis on corporate, real estate, and partnership taxation. Bill advises corporate and individual clients on U.S. tax consequences of a wide range of transactions, including taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions, partnership and joint venture structuring, securities offerings, cross-border joint ventures between U.S. and non-U.S. partners, and domestic and offshore fund formation. His goal is to help Bonfante Steinbeck Dentino’s clients achieve their business objectives with creative and value-added tax planning
Prior to joining Bonfante Steinbeck Dentino, Bill practiced with the leading international law firm White & Case LLP and, before that, the leading national law firm Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell LLP. At both firms he focused on general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. He holds an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law and a J.D. from the University of Southern California School of Law. While in law school, Bill served as a judicial extern to The Honorable Arthur L. Alarcón, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
